You surfed to funeralcarebijdehand.nl and you came here. And that’s right. Rouw& (the parent company of BijDeHand and this knowledge center) is no longer hiring new funeral directors. We still have a few people “in our portfolio” that we are counseling. After that, the funeral business will be discontinued. We understand that this news can be unexpected and perhaps even confusing. For many years, BijDeHand has diligently and carefully assisted many families through difficult times. While we are no longer accepting new funeral arrangements, we want to emphasize that current clients will continue to receive our full attention and care until their counseling is complete.

But yes, you did come here looking for help! What we can offer you are two different pathways.

We want to be able to focus fully on supporting you and your child during the period surrounding your partner’s terminal illness and death.

Arranging the funeral (the technical planning) made us less able to focus on that task than we would have liked.

Therefore, the choice was made to leave the arranging of the funeral itself to a funeral director.

Doing what we do best: guiding you and your children!
