You’re good at your job. You have rave reviews, families know how to find you. If small children need to be involved, you cycle through them. Light a candle, walk along in front of the hearse and done! But secretly you also know, that there is no child that says: “My mother is dead, I have a huge need to light a candle”. So what do they need? And how can you offer that in the best way?

Training

We will spend a full day working using the FAITH model. FAITH is an acronym (just as NATO or havo is an acronym). The FAITH model was developed in order to be of even better service in guiding children. Each letter stands for its own word, each word has its own pillar. Each pillar you get to know, brings you further in the best care for children in grief.

When?

Friday, June 13, 2025, 09.15 walk-in – 09.30 start training.

Where?

This time the basic day of the FAITH model settles in the south of the country; we are guests at the Afscheidsthuys in Sint Oedenrode.

    The training is given by Richard Hattink, a true specialist in mourning and funerals for families with young children. With more than 20 years of experience, collaborations with experts such as Manu Keirse and Robert Neimeyer, the development of funeral toys and TV fame (EenVandaag, CNN, ZDF, AlJazeera, Bejing News of China), he knows exactly how to best support children in their grieving process.
